If You Fake It (orgasm) You Won’t Always Make It
Everyone’s done it. Everyone has different excuses why they do it like “it’s taking too long” or “its bad, let’s just get it over with,” or “he’s worked hard.” Whatever the reason may be, most have faked an orgasm. It’s not just women who admit to faking orgasms its also men, though women are more likely to fake an orgasm (67%) than men (27%). A little white lie never hurt anyone, Right? Wrong! Faking an orgasm can potentially ruin your sex life or relationship.
It’s hard to build a relationship based on deceit. Although it is a little lie that may seem harmless, going out of your way to put on some theatrics is deception. Faking an orgasm is lying to your partner. Some even pride themselves in making their partner finish and learning that it was all a lie can be a big blow to their ego.
Once you’ve lied it’s easier to lie again. Faking once can lead to a life of mimicking cinemas dramatized R-rated scenes. At that point, sex can become a goal and not a process. Focusing too much on the end takes away from the sensuality of the whole experience.
It’s also hard to have a productive sex life when you can’t get off. If you’re not enjoying it than what is the point? Sex is supposed to be a mutual union of passion, not bumping genitals until till the climax. It only works if both partners are enjoying it. Pretending to enjoy it only masks the lack of pleasure (although some do admit receiving pleasure from their partner finishing). If the charade continues they’ll keep repeating the same moves thinking it’ll be enough since it worked last time. They won’t know what to do, you won’t know what to do and you’ll end up full of sexual frustration.
It all comes down to knowing what you want and that comes with time. Time and experimenting. Experimenting with outfits, toys, or furniture. Do a little wondering and exploring, you’ll never know what you do and don’t like if you don’t try it. Maybe bring a dildo to bed or try new positions on a sex pillow. Whatever you do relax and do what feels natural.
